Trump Returns for Rally at Site of July Assassination Attempt in Pennsylvania
Former President Donald Trump returned to the Butler Farm Show grounds in Pennsylvania on Saturday, holding a rally at the site of the July assassination attempt.
The rally featured a number of unique portions of programming, including a parachute show from members of the Frog-X Parachute Team, a live performance of Lee Greenwood’s ‘God Bless the U.S.A.’ (Trump’s signature entrance song at his rallies), and remarks from SpaceX CEO Elon Musk, who joined Trump on stage during his speech.
The event also featured a tribute and moment of silence for firefighter Corey Comperatore, the man who was shot and killed at the July 13th rally. A memorial to Comperatore was placed in the stands, and artist Scott LoBaido did a live on-stage painting of a tribute piece for Comperatore, which was met with rousing applause by the crowd.
Trump’s running mate JD Vance spoke ahead of Trump at the rally, as well as Eric Trump, Lara Trump, and businessmen John Paulson and Steve Witkoff. The rally also featured a performance by vocalist Christopher Macchio, who had previously performed at the closing night of the Republican National Convention in July.
